Group fun!

I understand how important it is for dogs to get regular exercise and socialisation, which is why I offer 1-hour group walks at Happy Hounds. I'm happy to work with all breeds and can accommodate dogs that prefer to walk with or without a lead. I will make sure your pup gets all the exercise and attention they need to stay healthy and happy. Casual walks available.

$30 per hour

($10 extra for dogs from the same family)

Max 4 dogs

Allow an extra 30min for pick up and drop off.

Solo walks

At Happy Hounds Hawea, I understand how important it is for your dog to get exercise and fresh air. That’s why I offer solo one-hour dog walks on or off the lead, tailored to your furry friend’s unique needs. All my dog walking services are performed with care, compassion and respect for your pet’s safety and wellbeing. I aspire to bring joy, fun and happiness to your dog’s routine, ensuring they return home happy tired and content. Casual walks available.

$40 per hour

Pet care

At Happy Hounds , I understand how important your furry, feathery, wooly or scaly friends are to you. When you trust me with your pets, I guarantee to provide them with the love and attention they need while you’re away. I can offer a broad range of services other than dog walking which include checking on their welfare, feeding, playing, and caring for all animals. I am fully committed to giving your pet the care they deserve.

Airline Carrier Crates

Be sure that your pet will be able to turn around, lie down without being cramped and can stand up inside the carrier.

Hi, I'm Aimee. As a pet owner for as long as I can remember - from dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, birds and guinea pigs - I thought it was about time to turn my love of animals into business. As a Wanaka/Hawea local for over 20 years, I know some cool spots to take your hound so it can run free. At Happy Hounds Hawea, I am passionate about providing top-notch dog walking and animal care services. I can offer solo walks, group fun or simply just hanging out with your furry friend. I understand that pets need a stimulating environment and plenty of exercise, and I am dedicated to making sure that your furry friends get that and more. I have just completed my Pet Care Level 3 course which covers the following:

Skills to work in the animal care industry 
Correct hygiene and feeding practices
Animal behaviour, temperaments and body language
Grooming, enrichment and handling animals safely
Basic animal function, form and first aid 
Providing reception services for an animal care facility 
Regulatory requirements and codes of practice

Your pets are in safe hands with me at all times, as I always carry a pet first aid kit and my vehicle contains doggy seat belts. I offer all services for your animals whether they are furry, scaly, feathery, or anything in between. Please get in touch if you need help in any way.

We're thrilled to welcome you and your pup to Happy Hounds Hawea, where we offer dog walking and animal care services. Our top priority is your dog's safety and happiness, with off-lead and on-lead walks, all dogs must have a current registration and collar, be fully vaccinated. Good behavior with other dogs and people, and most importantly great recall! In case of emergency your pup will be taken to the closest vet in the Wanaka area, and of course you will be contacted asap! Please note, if this is the case you agree to covering all vet costs.

Airline crates will need to be returned clean and not damaged otherwise a replacement cost will need to be paid
